Une fois à la Tour Denecourt, n'hésitez pas à monter au sommet (vous êtes à 136m d'altitude) et profiter d'une vue à 360° sur la forêt. Magnifique ! L'édifice fut construite par Claude-François Denecourt (qui a amenagé la forêt de Fontainebleau) en 1851, puis restaurée à plusieurs reprises. Le retour suit un balisage bleu.

Denecourt, born in 1788, was a career soldier and a veteran of several Napoleonic campaigns who remained faithful to his Bonapartist beliefs in a period of restoration and was therefore sent into "exile" from a more central Parisian position.
